The Crain 553 adjusts to different plank thicknesses from 3/8″ to 3/4″ in two easy steps. Simply place the tool’s back foot on the subfloor and the stapling nose on the tongue. Drop the adjustable front foot plate onto the top surface of the plank and tighten. Then, insert a staple into the channel and hammer it into the subfloor using the unique offset driver.

This tool takes 18 gauge (1/4″ crown) staples and includes a staple separator for easy separation of individual staples. With a net weight of 2 lbs, it offers durability and ease of use for flooring professionals and DIY enthusiasts alike.
