Product Overview
The Portamix Twin-Glide Gauge Rake is designed to help flooring installers spread self-levelling and self-smoothing materials at a consistent, predetermined thickness.
Its 600mm-wide frame is manufactured from heavy-gauge 304 stainless steel to resist flexing while distributing material evenly across the floor.
A replaceable stainless steel Glider is fitted at each end of the rake. Each Glider provides three separate wear faces, allowing it to be rotated when one face becomes worn rather than immediately replacing the complete set.
Different Glider sets can be installed to suit application depths of 3mm, 4mm, 5mm, 6mm, 8mm, 10mm, 15mm, 20mm or 25mm.
Large winged fixing bolts allow the Glider sets to be removed or changed without having to adjust locking nuts or manually measure the rake depth.
The RTG600 package includes the stainless steel rake frame, two Glider winged bolts and the pole mount. Depth Gliders and the operating pole are required separately.

Notes
- Select the Glider set that matches the required finished application thickness
- Confirm the selected depth is permitted by the levelling compound or flooring-system manufacturer
- Fit matching Gliders to both ends of the rake frame
- Orient both Gliders consistently and secure them using the supplied winged bolts
- Check that the Gliders are seated correctly and the winged bolts are firmly tightened before use
- Attach a compatible threaded or snap-lock operating pole
- Place the flooring material in accordance with the product manufacturer’s instructions
- Draw the rake through the fresh material in a smooth, controlled pass
- Maintain consistent movement to help distribute the material evenly across the working width
- Continue application only while the material remains within its stated working time
- Inspect the Glider faces regularly for wear
- When one face becomes worn, loosen the fixing bolt and rotate the Glider to an unused face
- Replace both Gliders as a matched set if wear begins to affect application depth
- Clean the rake, Gliders and fixing bolts immediately after use before material hardens
